Welcome to Seamside, a little harbor town where everything is made of felt and everyone needs something to wear.
Open your tailor shop on the waterfront and take orders from the townsfolk: the otter who keeps the lighthouse, a walrus who used to captain the ferry, a hedgehog who grows prize-winning squash. Each one has an event coming up, a brief in mind and, if you listen closely, a secret wish.
MAKE IT PROPERLY
• Measure your customer with a tape measure. Every body is different, from tiny mice to round walruses and long-necked flamingos.

• Design from bodices, skirts, sleeves, collars, capes and vests.
• Lay the paper pattern on the fabric. Snug layouts waste less, and a careful tailor matches the stripes at the waist.
• Cut along the chalk line, piece by piece, with the snip of real shears under your thumb.
• Sew every seam on the machine: hold the pedal, steer the fabric, ease around the corners.
• Fit it on the customer. Pin what's loose, let out what's tight.
• Finish with buttons, bows, appliqué and embroidery, or send it out plain.
MAKE YOUR OWN FABRIC
In the Fabric Studio you dye cotton in a copper kettle, stamp it with printing blocks, fold it for shibori, float colors for marbling, or sew your scraps into patchwork. Name your bolts, star your favorites, and dress the whole town in fabric nobody else has.
SEE THEM WEAR IT
Every finished outfit goes to an event (a beach wedding, the Harbour Dance, the Frost Fair) and comes home as a photo in your Lookbook. Walk out into town and you'll find your customers strolling around in what you made for them. At the end of the year, everyone you've dressed walks up to the lamp in the Lighthouse Parade.
